Yuja Wang, a Chinese classical pianist, performs the Flight of the Bumble Bee at the 2008 Verbier Festival. She is considered one of the fastest playing pianist in the world.
Yuja was born to a musical family in Beijing, China, where she began studying the piano around age six. Early on, she studied piano at the famous Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing. Later in life, she continued her piano studies at Mount Royal College Conservatory in Calgary, Canada.
Yuja Wang now lives in New York City. Over the years, she has performed with the New York Philharmonic; Symphonies in Houston, Japan, San Francisco, Chicago, and Boston; and a dozen other orchestra or philharmonics.
In 2009, she released her first music CD titled Sonatas and Etudes, which was nominated in 2010 by the Grammy Awards for Best Instrumental Soloist. In 2010, she released her latest music album called Transformation, which is expected to have strong sales.
She is an amazing and talented pianist, who will be appreciated for years to come.
